We’ve made some updates to StockRants under the hood and wanted to post a quick update detailing the changes. We also have an announcement regarding submitting articles or other contributions.
I hope investors are enjoying the summer as well as the deep discounts the market has once again presented us with. Lots of great opportunities to start building a portfolio rolling into the final quarter of 2011.
We did some work on the web server this weekend to improve the speed of StockRants during peak market hours. Preliminary results show the site runs quite a bit faster than previously.
Other Updates:
- Writers wanted. We now accept article and op-ed writers with a revenue sharing model for regular contributors. We built the page so users may submit a tip or article directly to editors. Also threw together a quick and dirty staff page.
- Brokers. Started building a big list of the best online brokers for the US, Canada and international traders. We’ll build this out as we get feedback.
- Guides. Started the framework for the Beginners Guide to Online Trading – a starting point for new traders and investors.
- Partners wanted. We now accept advertisers with realistic prices on direct banner placements. We are also interested in cross-promotion campaigns from select partners.
