CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Traveling floor and window store Carpet Network of Cedar Falls announced today that they have recently joined forces with Floor Coverings International (FCI), a franchised shop-at-home flooring retailer. Local owners Daryl and Malinda Foelske will keep their showroom located at 5226 Norse Drive and knowledgeable staff on board, while gaining access to additional products and resources for their clients.

When Carpet Network closed their doors early this year, Tom Wood, president and CEO of FCI, realized that many of its franchise owners could struggle without the support of their franchisor. Wood decided to offer to convert their businesses to FCI franchises. The partnership is expected to benefit not only the former Carpet Network owners, but also their clients. With larger organizations come lower costs; additional vendors — like Armstrong, Emser, and Design Materials; a strong leadership and operations team; and a more aggressive field support program.
