IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Jacksonville Practice

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired North Florida Acute Care Specialists, LLC. (NFACS), headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The practice represents an annualized volume of approximately 62,000 patient encounters. The acquisition of NFACS represents a further expansion for IPC in the Jacksonville market where the Company already has a well-established presence.
