Move further positions NewCourtland to meet changing needs of Philadelphia seniors

PHILADELPHIA, July 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Six of the seven nursing homes in the NewCourtland Network have been acquired by new owners effective July 1, 2011: Care Pavilion, Cheltenham York Road, Cliveden, Maplewood Manor and Tucker House by Mid-Atlantic Healthcare; and Kearsley Retirement Community by Tryko Partners. Both organizations bring with them exceptional expertise in long-term care management.

“An increasing number of older adults want to live in their own home or community, yet require significant support in order to age-in-place,” said Gail Kass, president & CEO of NewCourtland. “This transition enables NewCourtland to focus on and adapt to the changing needs of today’s senior, offering a more community-centric service model while maintaining a commitment to skilled care in a nursing home setting through the services offered at Germantown Home.”
