World’s leading money transfer company Western Union Co. (WU) has recently announced that it would launch a Western Union Money Transfer Receive Card, which would set in a new hassle-free way to receive money transfer from across the globe.
The cards, which will be available at select Western Union Agent locations this summer, can be picked up by consumers without having to fill up any form. After receiving the card, they will have to complete a transaction to receive a money transfer online or over the phone.
After the card gets activated, it can be used at any location, where a Debit MasterCard is accepted, to do online transactions or to draw money from ATMs. Besides simplifying the transfer receipt process, the card also offers Zero Liability protection to the users and guards them against the responsibility of unauthorized purchases made through the card at a store, over the telephone or online.
The card will also carry a re-loadable feature, which will enable the user to add more funds to it or get additional money transfer in the future.
In yet another announcement, Western Union revealed that Google AdSense publishers could use Western Union cash payment option in 60 countries throughout the globe to receive funds faster. The service is also available in countries like Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Mexico and Argentina.
Google AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google Inc. (GOOG). Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. Google administers these advertisements and generates revenue for the website owners on either a per-click or a per-impression basis.
Western Union cash payment helps the website owners to quickly receive their revenues (the business day following Google’s payment date) compared with check clearing and collection that take a longer time.
Western Union has emerged as a world leader in payment services by actively expanding in new areas and products. It competes with Dallas, Texas-based Moneygram International Inc. (MGI).
