OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Today, OpsCompass announced the acquisition of Agape Red including all personnel, client and partner relationships, physical infrastructure and intellectual property. Agape Red has accumulated a strong U.S. base of cloud native development expertise, an area of high demand and competition in the software community. OpsCompass will provide the resources to significantly grow this capability and will leverage their expertise in DevSecOps to add value to both the core OpsCompass HELM product and key client applications.
“Clients are demanding incremental features for our core product and integration into new cloud-native, DevOps oriented applications. We have to serve our clients on their terms,” commented Scott Griffith, Sr. vice president of Corporate Development for OpsCompass. He continued, “Agape Red’s superb reputation for community support, talent development and experience with modern open source technologies is precisely why they were the right fit, nobody does it better at listening to clients and delivering actionable outcomes.”
The transaction is completed and all personnel have been integrated and clients have been informed. Agape Red president Dave Kerber will become vice president of Development for the larger organization and will continue to support all development efforts as well as responsibility for OpsCompass product development.
“This is what a development leader wants to build, great talent working on great projects, supported by a like-minded technical and financial organization,” stated Dave Kerber, now OpsCompass vice president of Development. Adding, “I am so pleased for our team and for the many clients we can now serve with enterprise class products and services, as well as the opportunity to help bridge their journey to a cloud-centric world.”
OpsCompass indicated that the first evidence of this collaboration will be an extension module for their HELM product available in November. The focus will be a compliance-driven monitoring utility for the Microsoft Azure cloud, with AWS options to follow. Advanced security products are also under development for release in early 2019.
