“We are partnering with The Knolls residents to ensure they receive the quality lifestyle they have envisioned for themselves,” says Beth Goldstein, Bethel’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our priority now is to assure them that the only changes they will see moving forward are financial stability, upgrades to their buildings and a commitment from Bethel to restore their confidence and peace of mind in knowing their future is once again secured.”

As a continuing care retirement community, The Knolls will offer independent living, enriched living, home care, and skilled nursing services, all on campus.

Bethel currently manages two other senior living campuses in Croton and Ossining. This continuum of care includes: The Pines at Narragansett, affordable apartments for independent-living seniors; Bethel Springvale Inn, an assisted living senior residence; two skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers on both campuses; respite; and hospice care. Bethel also offers community programs such as Adult Day and Home Care services.

Bethel acquired Westchester Meadows after the previous management left the community in a state of bankruptcy. Through the terms of their purchase, Bethel is able to honor the contracts of existing residents, which ensures that residents keep their homes and expected services, without losing all of the money they invested when they moved in.

“We will rebuild The Knolls’ financial foundation, so that residents can feel confident in our ability to provide an exceptional senior living experience,” says Anastasios Markopoulos, Bethel’s Chief Financial Officer.

The Knolls will offer customizable, one and two-bedroom residences, dining services, transportation services, housekeeping, and much more. With the acquisition, the campus will also undergo several substantial renovations and service improvements to update the community.
