Williams-Sonoma, Inc. WSM, a home furnishings retailer, announced the opening of its seventh West Elm store in Texas. Located in San Antonio’s Pearl District, the new 11,000-square-foot store will debut on Jun 30, and offer West Elm’s fall assortment for modern living.
Under West Elm’s LOCAL initiative, the store will offer an indigenous assortment of home products and create 30 job positions in the region. These products will be specially designed by 10 Texas-based makers including Bell + Oak, Boyd’s Farm, bunglo, Gaston Made, Hemlock & Heather, Leah Duncan, Lilco Letterpress, Son of a Sailor, Tiny Fawn and Twin Sister’s Interiors. The store will also house a Design Lab, which will offer complimentary design services and home styling consultations.
The store opening will be supported by several marketing events along with a private pre-opening ceremony on Jun 29. The first 300 shoppers with a minimum purchase of $50 will be given a tote bag designed by San Antonio-based designer, Himanshu Sharma. The local customers can also participate in sweepstakes, where they can win a $2,000 gift card.
West Elm is one of Williams-Sonoma’s iconic home furnishing brands. The brand offers personalized products including branded furniture, bedding, bathroom accessories, rugs, curtains, lighting, decorative accessories, dinnerware, kitchen essentials and gifts created by the company’s team of artists and designers.
Solid growth across the West Elm brand, the addition of new businesses and solid execution across all brands drive the performance of this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock.
