NEW YORK, Dec. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Vertice Pharma, a specialty pharmaceuticals company focused on improving patients’ health, today announced it closed on the previously announced acquisition of VistaPharm, a specialized generics manufacturer of liquid and unit dosage pain medications for the hospital market, retail pharmacy and outpatient clinics. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The transaction was announced on November 17^th along with the formation of Vertice Pharma and its partnership with and line of equity investment of up to $300 million from Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm focused on growth investing. Vertice Pharma focuses on acquiring specialty pharmaceutical companies and products, including both branded and generic products, to create a durable specialty pharmaceutical business of scale.
