Ericsson ERIC penned a new intensified network partnership agreement with Swisscom, one of the top telecom operators of Switzerland, for the formation of a joint Mobile Expert Group. The deal will enhance the long-standing relationship of Ericsson and Swisscom.
As per the deal, the engineers of Ericsson and Swisscom will jointly work towards leveraging innovation and transformation of the mobile network of Swisscom. This will facilitate the retention of Swisscom’s position to the top-performing network of Switzerland. With the deal, both the companies will mutually aim to cater to the growing demand of the Networked Society.
In particular, for Ericsson, the alliance will reduce the time and expenses for marketing its latest technology and services. On the other hand, Swisscom will be able to offer its customers an enhanced network performance.
We are encouraged with the latest endeavor of Ericsson as it will boost its footprint in Switzerland. It will spread Ericsson’s footprint across Western Europe, which is anticipated to thrive significantly in the coming years. As per the latest edition of Ericsson Mobility report, mobile data traffic is anticipated to expand nine fold during the years 2015–2021.
Of late, the company has been focusing on spreading its wings in Switzerland. Most recently, the company disclosed that it has successfully completed the deployment of Ericsson Network Manager (‘ENM’) in the 4G LTE network of Swisscom. This was the first time Ericsson’s ENM went live in an operator’s network. ENM is a next-generation unified network management system that enables operators to get a clearer picture of their network resources and services. Such moves bode well for long-term growth of Ericsson
