Hertz Global Holdings Inc. HTZ announced that it has appointed David Rowlands as the general manager for the company’s UK division. David replaces Neil Cunningham, who left the organization to pursue a different career opportunity.

David, who assumed the role on Nov 16, is responsible for developing and driving Hertz UK's strategy and business plan along with leading the country's vehicle rental operations. Under the purview of these responsibilities, David will oversee the company’s performance in the country and manage teams.

David, who flaunts a multi-channel background in an array of retail and global corporate sectors, had earlier served Antenna International as senior vice president of Global Operations.

During his tenure there, he was accountable for driving significant revenues together with operational and performance margin improvements. Prior to this, David had served Sony Pictures as vice president, dealing with international retail operations.

David is known for his expertise in change management, process improvements and business transformation and is expected to be an asset for Hertz. His profound knowledge and able leadership skills will help the company to implement its growth strategies, enhance brand value and gain a leading market position.

Earlier this year, Hertz named Matthew (Matt) Jauchius as the company’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Jauchius, who assumed the roles at the end of October, is responsible for leading the marketing plans for the Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly brands.
