Air Products to Exhibit Gas Technologies at Heat Treat

Air Products & Chemicals Inc. APD declared that it will exhibit its latest gas technologies for the metals processing industry at the Heat Treat 2015 Conference and Exhibition in Detroit, MI, from Oct 20-22. The company will also highlight its latest developments in furnace atmospheres including plasma-activated case hardening of steels at atmospheric-pressure as well as heat treating trends.

Air Products’ applications engineers, who have expertise in heat treating, can work with the customers to know their specific requirements like annealing, brazing, hardening or sintering process and make suggestions to help improve their overall operation. The company’s industrial gases are available in a variety of supply modes to meet each customer's requirements in a cost effective and well-organized manner.

The senior research associate at Air Products will present new developments in atmosphere treatments as part of the "New Directions and Opportunities in Heat Treating" panel session on Oct 21. In addition to this, Air Products' principal application engineer, Dr. Liang He, will present the results of original research titled "Optimization of Protective Atmospheres for Annealing and Hardening Operations in Continuous Furnaces" during the Atmosphere Technology Session on the same day.

Last week, the company declared that it will launch three more SmartFuel hydrogen fueling stations in California in October. The three stations will come onstream along with 25 other hydrogen fueling stations that involve Air Products and are currently in the construction, planning or permitting phase.

Air Products currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).
