Golden County Foods Acquired by Monogram Appetizers

PLOVER, Wis., July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Golden County Foods, a leading contract manufacturer, and innovative developer of product solutions for the frozen appetizer and snack category as well as being the world’s largest supplier of frozen filled potato skins, announced today that it is being acquired out of Chapter 11 by Monogram Appetizers, a unit of Monogram Foods of Memphis, Tennessee.

Monogram Appetizers was the stalking horse bidder entering the court-supervised auction and was declared the winning bidder at the conclusion of the auction. The sale process, which was run by the Company’s investment banker Piper Jaffray is a positive outcome for the Company, its constituents and its operations. Monogram has indicated that it intends to continue operations and will work with current management to ensure a smooth transition.
