Emerson Electric Company EMR launched a new device – Rosemount 4088 MultiVariable Transmitter – for upstream and midstream oil and gas applications. The new product is basically meant for enhancing the well’s operation and oil and gas production management by the company’s customers.

This new launched oil and gas multivariable transmitter has an extended range capability, which ensures superior accounting of oil and gas production via plunger lift measurement applications, over the life span of the well. The enhanced accurate measurement performance will ensure oil and gas companies savings worth about thousands of dollars annually via curtailing service and equipment costs.
Emerson has integrated Rosemount 4088 into a larger oil and gas production network by transmitting data to its flow computers and remote terminal units (RTUs). Notably, Rosemount 4088 is configured to be conveniently used with any new or existing flow computer or RTU network products, which recognize Modbus input, of Emerson.
