GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, Dec. 8, 2014 Sercor Ltd. (“Sercor”) announces that on December 8th, 2014, it entered into a private transaction pursuant to which Sercor acquired an aggregate of 43,775,374 common shares (the “Aura Shares”) of Aura Minerals Inc. (“Aura”) at a deemed price of $0.075 per Aura Share. As at the completion of the private transaction, Sercor owns the Aura Shares representing approximately 19.2% of the outstanding common shares of Aura.

The acquisition of the Aura Shares was undertaken as part of Sercor’s ongoing review of its investment holdings. Sercor has no current intention of acquiring ownership or control over additional securities of Aura. Sercor intends to evaluate its investment in Aura on a continuing basis and may, in the ordinary course of its business, increase or decrease its ownership or control of common shares or other securities of Aura.
