(IMPV) – to expand the Windstream enterprise security portfolio. With this collaboration, Windstream aims to provide enhanced enterprise security solutions with an advanced Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Mitigation Service based on Imperva's industry-leading Web Application Firewall (WAF) and DDoS Protection Services.
As a supplier of Imperva’s always-on security solutions, Windstream's DDoS Mitigation Service can protect websites against the largest and smartest DDoS threats that use high volume attacks to overpower a business' system. The service uses scalable high-capacity network to manage an influx in volume-based DDoS attacks and is as such designed to automatically beat attacks without requiring intervention or without interrupting service.
Moreover, the alliance with Imperva will also allow Windstream to help moderate enterprise security risks by providing a multi-layered approach to enterprise clients. It would protect the customers’ high-value applications and data assets in the company’s physical and virtual data centers.
The intelligent multi-layer protection is assisted by carrier-grade edge routers that filter out IP protocol attacks. Its high-powered scrubbing clusters manage real-time DDoS traffic profiling and jamming. The WAF processes HTTP sessions and uses intelligent traffic profiling and bot detection technology to precisely filter out threats. This multi-layer approach is constantly updated with the latest detection and defense techniques to offer superior results.
