Zacks

Clients of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX), Alexandra Health System and Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), have been successful in achieving Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in Singapore.

Notably, Stage 6 is the second- highest level obtainable on the HIMSS Analytics EMRAM. There are a total of eight stages (0-7) in the EMRAM process. Attaining Stage 6 reflects the organization’s success in establishing clear goals for improving safety, while reducing unwanted errors and prioritizing IT implementations.

KTPH along with IHiS has been using Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Analytics, among several of their products, in order to provide efficient patient care to more than 700,000 people in the north of Singapore.

According to HIMSS International, as of the end of the second quarter of 2014, only 3.1% of hospitals in Asia Pacific under HIMSS Database had Stage 6 or 7 capabilities. Across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East, just 12.9% has been able to advance over stage 5.

This year has been quite good for the Allscripts Sunrise electronic health record (EHR) platform, owing to increased sales to new domestic and international clients, particularly in the U.K. The bookings performance in the third quarter of 2014 was driven by higher client demand for the company’s population health management solutions and managed information technology services offerings.

In addition to this, the new recognition will help the company to gain significant market traction going forward. It is expected to aid the company to compete against the likes of Quality Systems, Inc. (QSII), Merge Healthcare (MRGE) and athenahealth (ATHN).

Recently, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a U.S. based health system selected Allscripts Hosting Solution to provide enterprise-wide information technology (IT) through 2020.

In addition to that, MaineGeneral Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital recently renewed their contracts and will continue using Allscripts TouchWorks electronic health records until 2022 and 2020, respectively.

We believe that this contract wins will drive Allscripts top-line growth, going forward.

Currently, Allscripts Healthcare carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
