Monday night football is back and so is Frank Holmes with Kitco News’ latest edition of “Gold Game Film.” Holmes talks about gold prices and the mixed bag of economic data coming from the leading world economies. He says that he wasn’t too surprised by gold’s weakness given the strength of the dollar. Holmes also thinks economic weakness out of Europe may actually be affecting the far east, and in turn, impacting gold. “People have to remember that Europe, as an entity, trades more with China than America,” he says. “So if Europe starts to slow down, it starts having a negative impact on economic development in China.” Holmes also comments on interest rates and how the gold supply may potentially add pressure to gold prices.
