Meritor Inc. (MTOR) recently appointed Matthew Stevenson as the General Manager of North American Field Operations & Marketing and John Nelligan as the General Manager of OEM Sales & National Accounts. Both Stevenson and Nelligan will be directly reporting to Joe Plomin, the Vice President of Truck Americas, Meritor.
Stevenson will manage and administer the North America field sales team, service, training, fleet and dealer relationships and Meritor WABCO field sales. Further, he will have significant responsibilities toward product marketing in North America. On the other hand, Nelligan will be responsible for the company’s OEM customers in North America as well as Meritor’s large national accounts.
Stevenson has been working in the commercial truck industry since 1997. He joined Meritor in 2010 and since then he held an important position in the company’s Marketing team. Prior to joining Meritor, he was associated with Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) where he held several responsible positions in the fields of marketing, sales and product strategy.
Nelligan joined Meritor in 2009. Previously, he was the Dealer Principal and GM at Harper Truck Centres Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for four years. He also held executive positions at DTNA and Western Star Trucks.
