McCann XBC (EXTRABOLD CONDENSED), a part of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG), recently appointed Devika Bulchandani as President, effective immediately. The appointment follows the promotion of the erstwhile President Joyce King Thomas as the Chairman.
An existing employee of the company, Bulchandani has served as Managing Director of Global Strategy at McCann and Chief Strategy Officer of McCann XBC. McCann XBC was formed in 2012 as a MasterCard dedicated agency along with additional McCann Worldgroup including MRM and McCann, and Interpublic agencies such as R/GA and Octagon.
Bulchandani has won Effie Awards for Marketing Excellence and multiple 4As Jay Chiat Awards for Excellence in Strategic Planning. Under her able leadership and skilled expertise, the company is expected to unlock value and augment revenues going forward. She is expected to provide valuable insight, guidance and support to the company in its operational and financial objectives with her in-depth knowledge and experience.
McCann Worldgroup was created in 1997 to align McCann Erickson and provide complementary services, transform clients' brands and grow their businesses. The group now operates in more than 100 countries and includes McCann Erickson, MRM, Momentum, McCann Healthcare, EXP, UM, Weber Shandwick and FutureBrand.
Interpublic Group is expected to release fiscal second-quarter 2014 (ended Jun 30, 2014) results on Jul 18. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the soon-to-be-reported quarter is pegged at 25 cents, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 40.5%.
With a market capitalization of $8 billion, Interpublic Group holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked stocks in the industry include Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC), Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN) and Stantec Inc. (STN). All these stocks hold a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
