In an attempt to make international sports available to underprivileged children, SAP AG (SAP) has partnered with Inter Campus, a corporate social responsibility initiative of the F.C. Internazionale club, Milano, Italy. Inter Campus primarily aims at using football as an educational tool for restoring the right to play to deprived children.
Established in 1997, Inter Campus currently operates in 29 countries. The initiative achieves its objectives through an efficient global network of managers and coaches. The body not only focuses on teaching football but also creates valuable educational and recreational projects for over 10,000 disadvantaged children. The coaches work with 200 local instructors and myriad volunteers in countries which are officially part of the Inter Campus Worldwide circuit.
SAP has announced its intentions to finance Inter Campus Brazil’s objective of transforming the lives of underserved children through the game of football. As part of the partnership, SAP and Inter Campus Brail will host an event during the 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro to highlight the aspects of Inter Campus’ project. The event will also include a coaching session for children and the presentation of an Inter shirt to each child.
The Inter Campus Brazil (part of the Inter Campus program) initiative is a sincere attempt to improve the condition of the neglected children in Brazil. This partnership is sure to improve the lives of thousands of children across Brazil by capitalizing on the popularity of the country’s national game and the current FIFA World Cup rage.
In a separate development, the German Football Association and SAP AG (SAP – Analyst Report) formed a partnership to unveil a new platform called SAP Match Insights on Jun 12. This platform allows coaches and scouts of the German national team to process substantial amount of data (Big Data) to find and evaluate key situations in matches to improve player and team performance, ultimately improving the on-field experience of the World Cup. SAP Match Insights is developed on a simple user interface which can be accessed by coaches (as well as by players) for carrying out interactive conversations. The platform will also provide coaches an insight into the errors made in the previous matches thereby allowing the players to better prepare for future matches.
