DALLAS, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Bass Manager announced today that is has raised $250,000 in seed funding for its online application targeted to professional and amateur bass fishermen. Launched in March 2013, Bass Manager allows users to fish in a whole new way. The application features an online journal for anglers to record and track their bass fishing catches and fishing adventures. Built in the cloud, Bass Manager can be used on a desktop computer, smartphone or tablet to study and analyze important data. Bass Manager saves specific information on a user’s most productive lures and biggest catches, while offering analytics on their fishing patterns and tips for improvement based on possible areas of weakness.

Avid fishermen themselves, the founders expect the seed funding and acquisition by P.G. Media to help a greater number of fishermen experience the benefits of the application’s interactive and skill-boosting features, including:

  • Digital tackle box – Bass Manager includes a personal lure inventory that tracks the quantity of worms, crankbaits and spinnerbaits in an angler’s tackle box, with options for colors and custom name labeling.

  • Instant weather statistics – When anglers add their catch, the app will populate their log instantly with weather statistics for that catch, helping them analyze and learn from weather patterns, which update every second.

  • Social integration – For epic bragging, users can instantly share pictures of their catches to social networks including Twitter and Facebook, e-mail them to contacts and post them at online fishing forums. It’s an easy step to help anglers share their fishing stories with the world.

  • As well as numerous other features available now and in development.

“We created this application because we love bass fishing and wanted to create a platform that would help us master the craft,” said Vangeli Gelekes, founder of Bass Manager. “Through the development of the application, we’ve met a broad range of bass anglers – some just joining the sport and others who travel the world building their careers in bass fishing. All of them have found tremendous value in Bass Manager as a unique and on-the-go tool for improving their skills and mastering their techniques. We are excited to now offer Bass Manager at no cost and help even more bass fishermen realize its value.”

Bass Manager members can also participate in monthly contests with prizes and expect future opportunities to fish for “big cash” in member tournaments. They will be able to connect with Bass Manager in person at popular bass fishing events in numerous cities.
