Honeywell Launches Eco-Friendly Solvent

Zacks

Diversified technology company Honeywell International Inc. (HON) recently introduced a new high-performance, low-global-warming-potential solvent for effective cleaning of metal and plastic parts.

Honeywell Solstice Performance Fluid (PF) is the most technologically-advanced solvent offering with exceptional cleaning power. It also satisfies long-term environmental and safety requirements. Solstice PF is an addition to Honeywell's family of Solstice-branded product line, which is based on its proprietary innovative hydrofluoro-olefin (HFO) technology designed specifically to reduce carbon footprint without sacrificing product performance.

The adoption of Solstice PF is likely to save about 18 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, thereby helping users to meet the current and future environmental and safety standards.

The new solvent is ideal for cleaning oils, greases and other substances commonly encountered in many cleaning applications, ranging from electronics manufacturing to military and aerospace equipment repair. This new solvent has a global warming potential (GWP) of 1, which is more than 99% lower than the GWPs of most commonly-used solvents. Users thereby enjoy the benefit of a cost-effective, energy-efficient and eco-friendly new solvent in comparison to other high-GWP solvents.

Honeywell offers a wide range of aerospace products and services; control, sensing and security technologies for buildings, homes and industry; turbochargers; automotive products; specialty chemicals; electronic and advanced materials; process technology for refining and petrochemicals; and energy-efficient products and solutions for homes, business and transportation.

Honeywell currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Other stocks that look promising and are worth a look include Noble Group Ltd. (NOBGY), Marubeni Corp. (MARUY) and Mitsubishi Corp. (MSBHY). While Noble Group holds a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), Marubeni Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation carry a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) each.
