MER Group Telecom Division Increases Network Coverage Reach

MER Group (C. Mer Industries Ltd.), a world leader in digital communication infrastructure for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), announced today the acquisition of CellO, an innovative provider of wireless coverage and capacity solutions. The company will be renamed MER-CellO Wireless Solutions Ltd. and will operate under the Telecom Division of MER Group.

With this acquisition, MER-Cello Wireless Solutions Ltd. will provide a comprehensive turnkey Network Coverage solution that will encompass traditional infrastructure and Wi-Fi as well as in-building cellular connectivity with Wi-Fi offloading.

The company’s innovative All Access in-building solution provides spotless wireless coverage and superior capacity in buildings, campuses, outdoors and underground. The in-building wireless market is of particular interest to carriers looking to increase service delivery to core clients in challenging signal environments. With the addition of CellO’s high-capacity systems, carriers will be able to provide better in-building signal coverage as well as increased capacity for data centric services.

CellO was formed in 2012 as a result of the merger between Cellvine and Optiway. The company’s CEO, Yaniv Ben Haim, recently joined MER, to manage the network coverage activities within the Telecom Division.
