Holland America Line, one of the most famous cruise lines of Carnival Corporation (CCL), recently launched a promotional initiative to boost its guest count during the sailing period of 2014. Under the program, named Above and Beyond, the customers will be able to avail four different promotional offers valid from Jun to Dec 2014.
These offers are valid for the following itineraries — Alaska, Land+Sea Journeys, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada/New England, Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii/Tahiti, Mexico, Panama Canal and South America.
Guests who reserve the stateroom in selected European cruises will be given a complimentary Signature Beverage Package. For other itineraries, Holland America will offer a credit facility of $400 per stateroom exclusively for onboard spending. For some selective destinations, the cruise line will offer free or lowered fares for the third and fourth person of a family. Moreover, a 10% discount on shore excursions prior to the end of Feb 2014 has also been included in the promotional offerings. Apart from this, Holland America has halved the deposit rates.
Operating in the cruise industry for more than 140 years, Holland America is one of the most popular luxury cruise lines. It is also a member of the marketing group, World's Leading Cruise Lines. Boasting nearly 15 ships, Holland America Line offers nearly 500 cruises across 98 countries around the world. Carnival is set to add a new vehicle under the line in Feb 2016.
Carnival is the largest and historically the most profitable cruise operator in the world. Carnival’s another cruise line, Carnival Cruise Lines, has recently entered into a partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to provide a variety of exciting and immersive dining and entertainment experiences on its fleet of 24 "Fun Ships”.
Another cruise operator, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL), has also undertaken a host of brand building initiatives such as initiating a travel agent outreach program in June, a vacation guarantee program and a marketing campaign on prime time to boost its business.
