Fifth & Pacific Pens Deal with eBay Enterprise

Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. (FNP) and eBay Enterprise entered into a multi-year accord as per which the latter will lend fulfillment, storage space, freight, disbursements, customer care services and order handling mechanisms for brands including kate spade new york, Jack Spade, Kate Spade Saturday and Lucky Brand in the U.S. and Canada.

Fifth & Pacific, designer and seller of superior global lifestyle brands is aiming to strengthen its omnichannel business for all its brands and completely shift to enterprise commerce.

eBay Enterprise, a unit of eBay Inc. (EBAY), is helping Fifth & Pacific meet its objective by enhancing its potential to shift activities from store to web and vice versa, finding solutions for delayed order cutoffs, speedy deliveries and the required flexibility and range for superior brand experience.

Fifth & Pacific, carrying a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), recently posted its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2013. The company’s adjusted loss of 3 cents per share from continuing operations was narrower than the year-ago comparable quarter loss of 5 cents.

The year-over-year improvement in results was primarily driven by top-line growth of 18.1%, backed by strong performances at the company’s Kate Spade and Lucky Brand segments, partially offset by weak sales at Juicy Couture and Adelington Design Group segments.

By providing the multiple services mentioned above, eBay Enterprise is expected to further augment Fifth & Pacific’s revenues, strengthening customers’ loyalty alongside.

Also, kate spade new york and Lucky Brand collaborated with eBay Enterprise to get access to marketing solutions, taking into account strategies, associate marketing services, email management and search. Moreover, the launch of the Kate Spade Saturday brand was supported by eBay Enterprise.

Apart from Fifth & Pacific, eBay Enterprise provides omnichannel business and marketing strategies to many other premium brands including American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (AEO) and Ralph Lauren Corporation (RL)
