David McCain, President and Managing Director of DataClues has joined Precision Discovery as a Vice President. With a strong background in managing large-scale computer forensics and eDiscovery engagements involving multinational corporations, law firms and governmental entities, McCain brings his first-class expertise to Precision Discovery and its clients.

McCain brings more than 25 years of combined experience in computer forensics, eDiscovery, training, military service and law enforcement. During his career, he has been heavily involved in all aspects of computer forensics, incident responses and hi-tech investigations including managing large teams of forensic and eDiscovery experts. McCain is widely viewed to be one of the industry’s top professionals. McCain has served as an expert witness in federal, state, local and military courts.

His impressive career also includes serving as an instructor for the Advanced Training Center of the California Department of Justice, where he provides training on Internet and email investigations. He has also served as an instructor on behalf of the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service, Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program and he has also taught in a large number of international jurisdictions. McCain began his career in the U.S. Army, and then was a detective with the Huntington Beach Police Department, where he served as a member of the department’s elite computer crimes unit.

McCain is also a member of the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force and served as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshall. He holds many coveted certifications and licenses, including, Certified Forensic Computer Examiner, EnCase Certified Professional, Certified Cellebrite UFED Mobile Device Examiner, Certified Electronic Evidence Collection Specialist, A+ Hardware and Software Certified Professional and a Licensed Private Investigator. McCain is a well respected and sought after speaker and instructor in his areas of expertise.
