DALLAS, Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Michael Cannizzaro, Behavioral Health Group (BHG) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, announced the acquisition of Midsouth Treatment Center, a medically supervised treatment center for pain pill and opioid addiction, including methadone, counseling, and referral, located in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Midsouth Treatment Center, located at 640 US Highway 51 Bypass East, was owned by Elizabeth Tyus, RN and Rachel Farmer, M.D., who will remain as Medical Director of the newly named BHG Dyersburg Treatment Center during the transition phase. Mr. Cannizzaro said, “We are excited to welcome the Midsouth Treatment Center staff and over 330 patients to the BHG experience of care.”

James Draudt, BHG President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “The addition of the new BHG Dyersburg Treatment Center brings the total number of facilities in our company network of outpatient opioid treatment programs to 32.
