Coatings giant PPG Industries Inc. (PPG) has extended its strategic partnership with Pittsburgh-based IT consultancy Summa Technologies. Summa has been PPG’s partner since 2010 to implement the latter’s IT initiatives.
Summa has been more than just a resource for skilled IT talent for PPG. Summa has implemented PPG’s ideas from inception to realization through their active engagement in the creative process of developing software solutions for PPG. Summa is assisting PPG to develop its mobile strategy, application modernization, design, agile and integration. In addition, Summa is also training PPG’s management in agile practices.
Summa has designed and implemented applications for PPG like the online and mobile versions of the Digital Color Platform, PPG Paint It, the Digital Glass Visualizer and the Paint Your Own Room application.
Digital Glass Visualizer also won the tag of ‘Most Innovative Software’ in the 2013 Glass Magazine Awards. PPG was also nominated for a Webby Award earlier in 2013 for the Paint Your Own Room application.
Summa will be participating in PPG’s Technical Innovation Expo, scheduled on Sep 24, to showcase its innovative software solutions to PPG’s IT vendors.
