The leading producer of cereals in the world, Kellogg Company (K) recently introduced a number of products, which include all new flavors of popular snacks. These products are designed to meet the demand for innovative flavors.

The company launched an array of chips, crackers, bars and cookies including snacks bars from Nutri-Grain, Special K and Kashi and new flavors of TheRealCheez, Kashi and Keebler_Elves.

These products target the growing number of health conscious consumers who prefer easily available nutritious food given their busy schedule, particularly for breakfast and snacking. These snacking options particularly capitalize on the increasing awareness about the importance of having frequent small meals in order to stay fit and energetic throughout the day.

Of these Cheez-It Zingz crackers, made with corn mesa, are now offered in two flavors, chipotle cheddar and queso fundido. Pringles is now available in a fiery sweet barbeque flavor. Town House pita crackers offer the real taste of pita and easily complement any dip or toppings.

For consumers who are really concerned about the nutritional value of their packaged food products, Kellogg is introducing a new range of snacking options. The hummus crisps from Kashi offer a healthy combination of chickpeas, whole grains, spices, and herbs and are available in three flavors, sea salt & olive oil, caramelized onion, and sundried tomato basil-feta.

Special K cracker chips are now offered in chipotle lime flavor. The Keebler Simply Made cookies on the other hand are made of basic ingredients such as wheat flour, butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla, and are offered in two flavors, chocolate chip and butter. Kellogg is also introducing Keebler El Duende cookies in coconut and lemon sandwich flavors.

Kellogg has always focused on brand building through product innovation and an improved product mix with the help of optimal price/mix combinations. For instance, Kellogg had recently introduced new flavors of Pop-Tarts. The new Pop-Tarts Gone Nutty is offered in two flavors, Peanut Butter and Frosted Chocolate Peanut Butter. These efforts help drive market share gains and consistent growth in sales and earnings over the long term.
