LISLE, Ill., May 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — KONE Inc. has acquired the assets of Elevator Maintenance & Repair, Inc. (EMR) based in Prattville, Ala. This acquisition provides significant service business growth for KONE in three Alabama markets including Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham.

EMR has operated in these attractive markets since 1981 under the capable leadership of owners Jim and Nancy Haines.

EMR and KONE will be combining their elevator operations under the KONE name during the next few months. This newly combined team welcomes the opportunity to continue to provide outstanding service to EMR and KONE customers.
