TranSwitch Corporation (TXCC), recently announced that it has won a deal from TELES Communication Corp., to design the latter’s new 3G Cellular Broadband Gateway. TELES has selected TranSwitch’s Atlanta 2000 gigabit communication processors for its CELLX product family.
TranSwitch’s Atlanta 2000 processors have exceptional performance and facilitate service providers to meet the twin demands of voice and data services in both residential and commercial applications. Some of the key features of Atlanta 2000 processors are 2Gbps wire-speed throughput performance, Wirespeed IEEE 802.11n WiFi data throughput performance and power consumption of less than 1.3W.
Atlanta 2000 communication processors will enable TELES to offer unmatched call clarity, advanced network management capabilities and world–class Quality of Service (QOS). Cellx Gateway, which offers instant voice service at places where fixed network is not available, will be used by TELES for this purpose.

TranSwitch, based in U.S, offers integrated circuit (IC) and intellectual property (IP) solutions. These solutions help the customer and network infrastructure segment in delivering core functionality for video, voice and data communications equipment.
In the customer-premises market, TranSwitch presents and distributes high definition (HD) and data content for consumer electronic applications, while for the network infrastructure segment it provides integrated multi-core network processor System-on-a-chip solutions.
