DecisionPoint Adds to its Mobile Solutions Client Base

By Ken Nagy, CFA

On March 6, 2013, DecisionPoint Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:DPSI), the enterprise mobility and RFID systems integrator, announced that it has been chosen by Mission Linen Supply to create and install a comprehensive paperless mobile customer interface solution.

Mission Linen Supply is a provider of rental products, services and supplies to hospitality, medical and industrial businesses in California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Oregon.

The custom-built, end-to-end enterprise program will outfit Mission Linen with mobile devices that automate and replace their current paper-based system for all operations including deliveries, invoicing, ordering, real-time communications and customer support.

Likewise, the cross-platform development solution will give Mission Linen Supply all the tools needed to create a modern mobile workforce, plus the flexibility to build operations in the future as it expands.

The pilot program, the second part of a multi-phase, three-year contract, will cover the approximately 20 industrial and commercial routes operated from Santa Barbara, CA., Mission Linen Supply’s corporate base.

Recently DecisionPoint made three acquisitions (CMAC, Apex and Illume Mobile) which have broadened the Company’s software products and professional services capabilities, opened new markets and deepened relationships with customers by allowing the Company to offer the full range of mobile solutions to meet the requirements of any enterprise mobility strategy as well as generate higher margins than other divisions in the Company, which in turn should lead to improved corporate gross margins.
