BMC Software (BMC) is winning deals at a rapid pace and has now won a deal from Pembrokeshire County Council. The County Council will increase its operating efficiency and management and tracking capability by using Track It.
The solution will help Prembrokeshire control and manage remotely-placed assets.
It will also help reduce the number of calls IT staffs have to handle by implementing self-service capabilities. Moreover, it will also rationalize the travel time for technicians while enabling 100% tracking of IT assets, while improving its ability to meet service-level agreements.
The increasing number of deal flows has helped BMC expand its customer base and improve its business volume. Late last year, BMC had won a contract from Osiatis. Osiatis is using BMC’s Business Service Management solution for achieving several of its business goals.
Again, a couple of months back, France Telecom had selected the BMC Proactive Net Performance Management solution for efficient customer services. This solution identifies and prioritizes practical problems. The actual work of the solution is to identify the main reasons for the problems and thereafter inform the concerned team.
However, significant Fed budget cuts have had an impact on government funds for IT administration. This apart, the economic weakness in Europe has hurt business volume from that region.
Competition increases at par with the growth in business opportunity. With companies such as IBM Corp. (IBM) and Salesforce.com (CRM) trying to expand their cloud-based business, things can become difficult for BMC.
