NEW YORK, Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Winebow, Inc. announced today the acquisition of the assets of Illinois importer and distributor, Vintage Wines, LLC. The companies will combine their efforts in Illinois and operate as Vintage Wines, a subsidiary of Winebow, creating one of the leading fine wine distributors in the state.

Winebow is a major national importer of fine wines and spirits from around the world, and a distributor in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Montgomery Country, Maryland. In 2010 Winebow expanded its distribution business into the state of Illinois, serving the market from a new Chicago facility.

Many of the top domestic and French suppliers, represented by Vintage Wines prior to the transaction, have already established long-term relationships with Winebow in their East Coast distribution markets.

Jennifer Crowley will oversee the new entity as Vice President, General Manager, leading a team of 80, including sales, brand management, marketing and support.
