Australian Associated Press (AAP) and Qatar News Agency (QNA) are leading news agencies dedicated to using advanced technology for informing their clients on latest news developments in their regions and globally. The iPhone and iPad Apps developed by UK based KnowledgeView Ltd are intended to do just that.

The Apps uniquely provide real time multi-media news to the public as well as additional news reports to different groups of registered users including media subscribers, enterprise and government.

Australia’s national news agency, Australian Associated Press has released an iPhone app that it says is the ultimate news planning tool for editors and journalists.

AAP Agenda shares with its users the daily diaries, news lists, top trending stories, images, videos and graphics available from the agency throughout each day.

“It’s a simple but extremely effective communications solution. It’s intuitive but data rich for our subscribers and it’s very easy for our editorial team to manage,” AAP Editor in Chief, Tony Gillies, said.

“The KnowledgeView (KV) technology has been an excellent fit for us and we’re now developing other products with the KV team,” he said.

Qatar News Agency (QNA) was established in 1975 to be the first news agency providing comprehensive Gulf news coverage. Since then, QNA has invested in advanced technology for digital editorial as well as for news delivery, including video streaming, online publishing, social networks tools and media monitoring. QNA has released an iPhone and iPad version under the name of QNA News for the public as well as for registered groups of users, supporting English and Arabic.

“This new project will cost QNA staff no effort as KnowledgeView’s powerful “Mobile app technology” will push the content from the same editorial system to both our iPhone and iPad apps. We are very happy to cooperate on even more exciting innovative projects with KnowledgeView to add value to our audience and stay on top of technology”, Eng. Khalid Mohammed Al-Motawa, Director of Technical Affairs, QNA, said.

“We are honored to have QNA and AAP among our valued news partners globally. These news products are the result of years of research and development by KnowledgeView, and the fruits of cooperation with the technical teams of AAP and QNA. The two agencies are a role model for progressive news providers that are restlessly determined to add value to their clients. ” Ali Al-Assam, CEO, KnowledgeView.
