ATLANTA, May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Global Franchise Group, the strategic brand management company, is pleased to introduce its new Chief Financial Officer, Lewis Loeb. In his position, Loeb will be managing all financial and accounting divisions with the Global Franchise Group family of brands including Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream & Treatery, Pretzelmaker/Pretzel Time, and The Athlete’s Foot. The brands are managed by GFG Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Global Franchise Group.

Loeb is a senior level executive with experience in growing companies by developing and implementing strategic plans, leading accounting, information technology, and interacting with the Board of Directors, bankers, vendors, and with all management levels of the company. These responsibilities are a direct correlation to the exemplary work and experience he has gained in his previous positions in the industry over the last few decades.

“We are excited to have a Chief Financial Officer the caliber of Lewis Loeb join our team,” says Chris Dull, President and CEO of GFG Management, LLC. “Lewis brings over 30 years of experience in the industry to our company and will be a great asset in providing strategic leadership to all stakeholders of our business, building even stronger store level economics and increasing franchisee profitability.”

Loeb, previously Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at McAlister’s Corp. for almost fifteen years, not only managed multiple departments in the financial field including human resources, but he was also in charge of over 300 locations nationwide. He helped handle the sale of the corporation and managed funds and tax details nationwide during this process. Before that he was Vice President and Controller at Delchamps, Inc. for over ten years and was at Touche Ross and Company for almost five years.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Management Accountant, Loeb has used this expertise to reduce labor costs and increase sales in each of his previous positions. By having experience outside the strictly accounting field, he is a great asset to GFG and brings diversity to a valued position in the company’s executive team.
