DALLAS, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — LifeCare Hospitals of Dallas, a long term acute care hospital (LTACH) located in the heart of the Dallas medical community, announced today it will acquire selected assets of Vibra Specialty Hospital and relocate to Vibra’s Record Crossing Road location later this year. Pursuant to the acquisition, Vibra will relocate to the community of Desoto.
The two hospitals have entered into an agreement for the sale of the assets; the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be complete before the end of the year. The transaction is anticipated to be immediately deleveraging, on a pro forma basis, to the balance sheet of LifeCare Holdings Inc., the parent company of LifeCare Hospitals of Dallas.
The new LifeCare Hospitals of Dallas will offer both private and semi-private rooms, spacious family waiting areas and modern amenities such as Wi-Fi access throughout the building. In addition to a full array of speech, occupational and physical therapy services, the hospital will provide a wide range of in-house diagnostic services including mobile fluoroscopy and X-ray, laboratory services, a rehabilitation gym and a surgical procedures room. LifeCare intends to further expand the hospital’s service capabilities with additional ancillary services in the near future.
