HANFORD, Calif., Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Thresher Industries (PinkSheets: THRR) announced today that the Hanford casting facility is processing production orders and is fully operational. We have converted our melting furnaces to run on propane fuel reducing emissions and furthering our green mission.

The current production order is for an agricultural component which uses 100% recycled metal matrix composite material designed specifically for use in the agricultural industry. This material is designed to not only lighten the product which allows for farmers to use less fuel but is also a highly wear resistant material giving longevity in their product. Due to the success of this material this is one of the largest production orders we have received from this customer.

With the success of this material in the agricultural industry Thresher Industries plans to further pursue production and material sales in the agricultural industry in 2012.
