WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Holcim (US) Inc. (www.holcim.us) announced today that four of its plants have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) prestigious ENERGY STAR.

The following four Holcim plants were named: Ste. Genevieve in Bloomsdale, MO, Holly Hill in Holly Hill, SC, Portland in Florence, CO and Devil’s Slide in Morgan, UT. The 2011 ENERGY STAR is the second for both the Holly Hill and Ste. Genevieve plants. The Portland plant was awarded for the first time, and Devil’s Slide in Morgan, UT received its fourth consecutive award.

The ENERGY STAR is the national symbol for protecting the environment through superior energy performance.
