Microchip Technology Inc. MCHP, a leading provider of semiconductor products, recently announced its latest MIC45404 switching power module designed exclusively for telecom, industrial and solid-state drive (SSD) applications that are impaired by height.

Catering to client needs, the company has designed this module to simplify the usage of this system. This highly advanced MIC45404 module is an extension to the power module product family and is well integrated with magnetic inductors available in a 19V, 5A point-of-load buck converter. This module eradicates concern over components that may introduce sudden electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Alongside, the company has launched the MIC45404 Evaluation Kit to allow application development using an integrated switching power module.

Per IHS Inc. IHS, a global provider of analytical insights, the power module market is expected to comprise almost 30% of the power semiconductor market by 2019. Microchip is developing and introducing a wide range of innovative and proprietary new products. All these initiatives augur well for the long-term growth prospects of the company.

Earlier this month, the company announced the availability of four modules which are likely to enable Wi-Fi and networking facility to be set into almost any device that includes Internet-of-Thing (IoT) application.
