Renowned multinational company WPP plc’s WPPGY subsidiary Ogilvy & Mather (‘O&M’) recently announced Anthony Wong as its new Worldwide Effectiveness director. Management believes that the new leader would help improve the company’s internal working culture as well as develop a more proficient communication system for its global customers.
O&M is regarded as one of the largest marketing companies in the world. The organization includes popular units for various disciplines such as public relations, public affairs, relationship marketing, advertising, consulting, research & analytics and specialist communications. Anthony Wong has worked under O&M’s previous Worldwide Effectiveness director, Tim Broadbent. In his new capacity, post Tim’s death, Anthony Wong would also serve, as head of the Global Client Leader of TeamHW. TeamHW is a personalized agency team of WPP plc that manages Huawei’s communications and marketing around the world.
According to Anthony Wong, the aim to improve O&M’s communication proficiency should be regarded as an important scientific investment and will be as crucial as any other brand-image improving strategy.
