Starwood (HOT) Opens Second Four Points Hotel in Taiwan

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. HOT announced the opening of its first hotel in Magong City, Penghu Island, under the brand Four Points by Sheraton, in association with Jia Peng Co., Ltd. This marks the brand’s second hotel in Taiwan.

The new Four Points Sheraton Penghu features 308 guestrooms and 23 suites. It offers both international and authentic Taiwanese cuisines. The hotel also has a lobby lounge that offers authentic local brews and a bar featuring live music. The hotel includes other facilities like a swimming pool overlooking Magong Harbor and a fitness center, in addition to a Grand Ballroom and other meeting space.

The Four Points Sheraton Penghu is close to some of the top entertainment and shopping destinations in the city and therefore ideal for both business and leisure travelers. It is also easily accessible from the Magong International Airport.

The hotel is offering special rates of US$ 160 per room per night for a Deluxe Room as part of its grand opening. The offer is valid till Feb 2016.

The Four Points Sheraton Penghu will cater to the growing demand of mid-market travelers and its opening is in accordance with the company’s plans of expansion of the Four Points brand in the Greater China region. The brand operates 23 hotels in the region and has several more in the pipeline. Currently, Starwood operates over 200 Four Points hotels in more than 30 countries.
