Starbucks Corporation SBUX recently launched Holiday Spice Flat White— a spiced up version of the popular Flat White beverage — at its stores in the U.S. and Canada.
Flat White is an espresso beverage made with two ristretto shots, steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot. Holiday Spice Flat White contains two ristretto shots of spicy Christmas Blend Espresso Roast and micro-foamed whole milk.
Other popular holiday drinks such as Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte and Peppermint Mocha are now being offered at all Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada. Also, the much-loved Christmas Blend whole bean coffee beverage is available worldwide.
These beverages, along with the entire line-up of packaged coffees and merchandise, hit the U.S. Starbucks stores on Nov 10 and reached Canada on Nov 2.
Popular holiday beverages, re-imagined in-store experience for the holidays, accelerated card loads, holiday merchandise and Starbucks gift card program should support sales in the upcoming quarter. As it is, the company has delivered exceptional sales results for the major part of fiscal 2015 (ended Sep 2015) driven by solid global traffic trends and higher food/beverage sales.
We believe that digital efforts like Mobile Order and Pay, delivery services and third-party loyalty partnerships, food and beverage innovation, lunch and evening programs, Starbucks Reserve premium coffees and Teavana teas should fuel stronger comps growth in the Americas in fiscal 2016.The coffee giant’s latest digital initiative, Mobile Order and Pay, is showing positive early results and could be a key growth driver in the next fiscal year.
