DICK'S Sporting Goods Inc. DKS is fervently moving ahead with its store expansion plans. The company is slated to open of its relocated store in Michigan on Oct 3.
The store, located at the Oakland Mall in Troy, will encompass an enhanced floor space of 50,000 square feet. This relocated store replaces the company’s previous store at Oakland Square.
The new outlet will incorporate various upgrades such as a Women's Studio Apparel Department, a Soccer Shop, expanded Brand shops, a Running Center, Lacrosse and Baseball Shops in the shop-in-shop format, and a newly expanded Youth Footwear section, along with an efficient checkout facility.
Moreover, the store will look attractive with wider aisles and clearly visible destinations for the brands shops, providing customers an improved experience and the flexibility to easily move through the store.
In order to attract customer traffic to its new store during the opening day, DICK’S Sporting announced that the early birds will get an opportunity to open the DICK'S Sporting Goods Gift Locker.
We believe that this full-line sporting goods and apparel retailer will benefit from its in-store actions and online growth strategies. The company’s in-store remodeling efforts, launch of shop-in-shop facilities and recruitment of competent sales personnel have consistently boosted its top line.
Further, the company is aggressively enhancing its eCommerce capabilities to boost sales as well as market share in online retailing.
