DuPont DD announced that it has opened its Integrated Seed Science Center in Johnston, IA. The center, which is the second facility in the DuPont Integrated Seed Science Network, is responsible for the development and evaluation of seed treatment formulations, applications and seed handling techniques. DuPont, through this center, strives to deliver the appropriate seed treatments to farmers to help optimize the genetic performance of seeds.
The center, which aims at bringing out the best from the seeds planted, has a broad range of equipment, technology and training resources involving laboratories for manufacturing genetic seeds, treating and dry testing processes, real-world tests and plantability evaluations for checking accuracy.
DuPont works at this center to match the right treatment to the right seed variety for common agronomic conditions. The company had opened its first Integrated Seed Science Center in Wilmington, DE in 2014 and plans to open a third facility in South America.
DuPont’s Integrated Seed Science Network has already introduced many key products, including Pioneer Premium Seed Treatment (PPST) 250 and DuPont Lumivia insecticide seed treatment for corn. Additionally, DuPont Lumivia, which was introduced in spring 2015, provides better yield to growers. Products under the DuPont Lumigen brand are helping farmers with improved yield.
DuPont currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell).
