HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Confie, a national provider of personal lines insurance, announced today that it has acquired the business of three insurance brokerages that continue the company’s ongoing expansion in Texas and Upstate New York, in addition to strengthening the company’s presence in Downstate New York with its first office on Long Island.

Confie acquired the business of Insurance King Auto Agency, LLC, which has two locations in Dallas and writes personal lines insurance. The company is family owned and was established in March 2010. Schunke Insurance Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency located in West Seneca, NY (near Buffalo), writes personal lines and small commercial insurance and was founded in 1985. The owner Richard P. Schunke and his son Rick Schunke, Jr. will continue with Confie to manage the operation.

Confie also acquired the business of Reynolds & Reynolds Agency, Inc., based in Bellport, NY on Long Island. The company was founded in 1974 and serves the Eastern end of Long Island with personal lines insurance.
