AMN Healthcare Services Inc. AHS was recently awarded a three-year sole source contract for healthcare staffing by Charlotte, NC-based healthcare improvement company, Premier Inc.
Under the terms of the contract, AMN Healthcare will offer healthcare staffing services and workforce solutions to approximately 3,400 hospitals and 110,000 healthcare facilities associated with Premier.
The healthcare staffing services that will be offered include per diem and travel nurse staffing, international nurse staffing, per diem and travel allied healthcare staffing, locum tenens staffing and physician permanent placement.
Meanwhile, AMN Healthcare’s workforce solutions comprise managed services program, recruitment process outsourcing, workforce consulting and EMR project staffing.
AMN Healthcare is one of the leading workforce solutions and healthcare staffing sources for a wide variety of care settings, including world-renowned academic medical centers, multi-site metropolitan and regional health systems, community hospitals, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities and, increasingly, urgent care and retail care centers.
We believe that the latest contract win by AMN Healthcare will improve the company’s visibility among hospitals and health systems, which in turn, will boost its business scale significantly. By expanding the availability of its solutions and services, AMN Healthcare will not only improve its geographic footprint but will also enhance its top-line growth opportunities.
Notably, the company’s top line surged nearly 36% year over year in the recently concluded first quarter of 2015. We believe that AMN Healthcare will continue to benefit from the stable employment scenario in the U.S. driven by higher demand for clinicians and nurses. Further, the aging demography and higher number of newly-insured patients (due to Obamacare) are significant positives for the company.
