Columbia Sportswear Promotes Top Leaders to Drive Growth

After delivering better-than-expected first quarter 2015 results and raising its outlook for 2015 last month, Columbia Sportswear Company COLM has now promoted four senior leaders to support rapid global growth and reduce increasing complexity of the business.

On May 27, this leading apparel and footwear designer announced that Lisa Kulok, who served as the vice president of global marketplace planning and customer operations, has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of global supply chain operations. In this role, she will be responsible for the company’s global inventory planning, transportation logistics, distribution and account operations.

In addition, Steve Woodside, who served as vice president of global manufacturing, has been made senior vice president of global sourcing and manufacturing. He will be responsible for the company’s global apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment sourcing and contract manufacturing operations.

Joe Boyle is now the senior vice president of Columbia Brand Merchandising and Design, where he will continue to be responsible for leading the creation of Columbia brand apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment.

Also, Jim Swanson, who has served as director of finance since 2009, has been promoted to vice president of finance with continued responsibility of the company’s strategic and financial planning & analysis functions.

The company believes the promotion of these leaders will continue to drive growth across the board.
