Celanese Corporation CE will display its technological expertise in developing small and lightweight “smart parts” at the National Plastics Expo (“NPE”) 2015, from Mar 23–27, in Orlando, FL.

Celanese has partnered with Mold Craft, Sodick and LPKF to display its innovative value propositions to device manufacturers so that they can choose from among the leading experts in the industry for their design and production requirements. The four companies have decided to mold a replica of a complicated medical device cover named a Vented Processor Housing, using Celanese’s Vectra LCP. The product will be exhibited at booth S27001.

Advanced sensor and electronics technology manufacturers usually focus on miniature designs for their applications. Celanese provides the perfect solution with the Vectra LCP which ensures compact, intricate and thin-wall designs for these kinds of applications. Along with the Vectra LCP, Celanese also offers the Zenite LCP series. The LCP products feature superior melt flowability, dimensional stability of parts and fast cycle times, which will also be displayed at the NPE.

Mold Craft will display a small, thin-walled part with various types of finishes and special hollow space inserts with extremely tight tolerances. The product will also have interchangeable cavity inserts and is developed by Mold Craft’s Design for Manufacturing (“DFM”) capabilities.

Sodick will come up with its unique LP20EH3 micro injection molding machine, which is the most accurate machine in the market. The company will use robotics to take down molded parts from the machine on the NPE 2015 show floor.

LPKF’s Laser & Electronics team will be designing the part with laser-etched 3D circuitry. Celanese’s team of experts on this subject matter will also be present to demonstrate the company’s latest polymer products solutions at the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Annual Technical Conference (“ANTEC”) 2015 at NPE from Mar 23–25.

Celanese currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).

Better-ranked stocks in the diversified chemical space include Asahi Kasei Corp. AHKSY, Innospec Inc. IOSP and Air Products & Chemicals Inc. APD. While Asahi Kasei and Innospec sport a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), Air Products carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
